삼겹살 (samgyeopsal) is thick-cut pork belly, grilled right at your table on a sizzling grate. 소주 (soju) is Korea’s iconic clear spirit — smooth, clean, and deceptively easy to drink. Put them together and you have what Koreans consider one of the most satisfying meals in existence. The phrase 삼겹살엔 소주 uses the particle 엔 (-en), which roughly means “for” or “when it comes to” — as in, “for pork belly, you need soju.” No debate required.

We chose 삼겹살엔 소주 because it captures something bigger than food — it’s about the Korean way of sharing a table. This phrase is an inside joke, a cultural truth, and a dinner invitation all in one.
